For a moment, until I regretted the action.

[Raven would have snorted at his answer. Impulsive actions often lead to that, instant satisfaction and then regret.

But she focuses on her healing. It's pleasant to have someone like Castiel to deal with. No parasite thoughts or emotions to distract her. She works quickly, mending the broken bones, blood resorbing and bruises vanishing. When she's done, the white-bluish glow subsides.]

[Raven helps him taking off the bandaging. Then she takes his hand in hers and checks the result of her work. His hand looks just as if nothing ever happened. She nods in satisfaction and squeezes his hand very gently.]

So will you tell me why you needed to let some steam off that badly?

There was an incident involving my grace.

[She gives him a small genuine smile.]

I've really gotten much better at this since I came here. Must be because I have so many opportunities to practice. Because you're far from being my only patient, you know.

[She lets go of his hand and her usual impassible expression returns to her face.]

Yeah, I heard about that. Tom stole it when he bodyswapped with Raphael. And she stole his wand.

I am?

Yes. It was recovered, but I was angry after my conversation with him.

[Raven nudges his arm with hers gently and she smirks slightly.]

Now don't get jealous, angel boy.

[She nods.]

What did he tell you to make you angry, then?

I don't partake in jealousy.

He attempted to blackmail me into giving him information on how to harm my siblings in return for my grace.

Good. Jealousy makes people ugly.

[And he has no reason to do it, anyway.]

And you refused, right? ...So why did it make you angry?

[Tom's ability at wounding others' pride seems to be a dreadful weapon.]

I presume not literally.

I allowed his taunting to upset me.

See? You're getting it.

[Although in that particular case it can litterally make people uglier.

She can tell this is not easy for him, so she gives him a soft look. Showing him that she will not judge him, no matter what.]

What did he tell you?

That it would be pathetic to tell my siblings what he had done; that it was pathetic I needed them to protect me instead of taking action myself.

[She can tell he still hurts because of that. And if she needed further reasons to hate Tom Riddle, she's just found a new one. She raises her hand to cup his face in it.]

You're not pathetic, Cas.

Tom's intelligent. He knew he wouldn't be able to face you if you teamed up against him.

Did you tell... Lucifer?

I was going to, when Raphael decided to inform us all of what had occurred. Lucifer found out that way. He and Raphael confronted Tom.

[Her hand remains on his cheek a while longer before letting her hand fall back down gently.]

I know. Gabriel told me.

What did he say?

Only that it was one hell of a fight. Also from what I gathered, Raphael was seriously injured, Lucifer managed to bring Tom down and get back your Grace.

Gabriel said he might need my help too but apparently he found some other way.

Lucifer doesn't have my grace. Raphael got to it first, and seems to have hidden it once more.

[That's not good news. At all. Lucifer would have been useful for once. Tough luck.] Maybe now she'll have understood how careless it is to keep your grace around her neck instead of letting it go back to where it belongs.

Doubtful.

Her injuries seem pretty serious. She might die from them.

...She can't take your grace with her when she dies. [Down to Earth, emotionless. Raven is logical even as they talk of someone's death.]

She might.

She can't. However, she can hide it, and even should I retrieve it she could simply tear it out again.

She did it once. Believe me I won't let her do it twice. She'll tear my half-demon soul out of my body before she can reach you.

[It would have sounded a lot more dramatic without her deadpan tone. Or maybe it sounds more truthful that way.]

She probably would. Or simply smite you.
