[He's also quiet for a moment at that, and his voice is a little softer when he speaks as he realizes there may have been a bit of a misunderstanding.]

I'm not telling you to stay away from the Tower, just to leave him personally be unless he desires to make conversation. Most likely he will sleep for a few days.

[Inias hadn't lost his grace as violently as Castiel had, and there's less damage, but the transition is difficult and the entire thing is traumatizing. He doesn't at all mean to tell Raven she can't go to the Tower; he just wants to put as little stress on Inias as possible.

He didn't miss Raven's comment about her week, though.]

Are you alright? Do you need something?

[Healing or otherwise; if he can help, he will. She's his friend too, even if they haven't spoken in awhile; he wouldn't have brought Inias to the Tower if he completely trust Raven.]

[A nod before she realizes he can't see it since this is audio.] Got it. I'm usually not the best at making conversation anyway. [Greatest understatement ever.] May I ask how it happened?

[She wonders if it has to do with that stupid Scavenger Hunt event.

When he asks about her, a barely there smile curls her lips although he can't notice that. He didn't miss that comment, did he? No, because he's still her friend and her 'guardian angel', as she wrote in the notebook she gave him for Christmas once.]

I'm fine. None of the happy hunters managed to get one of my body parts or demon blood, not for lack of trying.

And the library got redecorated by my new, ahrem, co-worker. He still has some trouble with understanding the meaning of the word 'public' but he's getting there.

[Funny how she can stay without speaking to each other for months and then talk to each other as if they'd seen each other the day before. Also deep inside Raven knows taking Inias to the Tower is a proof of Cas' utter trust in her. That's why she apologized too.]

What about you? Are you okay?

[Explaining what happened will easily answer her last question, and he hesitates for a few moments before speaking.]

There's something wrong with Dean. Be cautious around him; avoid him entirely, if you are able.

It is good to hear you have avoided injury so far.

[He saw the cambion requirement on the list and thought of her, but he hasn't had much time to really check up on everyone he wants to. Things have been an incredibly disaster.]

I saw that. Loki's doing, correct?

[Angels will go months, years, decades without speaking, and then meet again and nothing will have changed. He thinks little of the time, other than distantly knowing it's been awhile and missing speaking with her; he doesn't quite realize that it's more significant for her.

And he doesn't really elaborate on her last question any more than what he said before.]

[She quirks a quizzical eyebrow at that.] With Dean? [She would have expected Sam to be the one of the two Winchester brothers to go berserk or high on demon blood, not Dean.] Alright but isn't there something that should be done about it?

...How is Sam? And the rest of your brothers?

[Yeah. Thanks for putting that on the list on top of the rest, Animus.]

Yeah. Looks like I was wrong blaming the Animus for once.

[Well she knows him well enough to know what that lack of further response means.]

When all this is over and Inias is feeling better, there'll be something I'd like to ask you for.

There should be, yes. But I have to figure out what exactly happened before I can attempt to fix it.

[He shakes his head slightly.]

I'm going to check on Sam. I have not heard from Gabriel, but I have not sensed anything to indicate he has been harmed either.

[But he has to drop in on him too.]

You can blame both Loki and the Animus. They both deserve it.

[It's not really a joke, but it is just barely. And at her last comment he nods, even though she can't see it.]

Of course.

If it'd been Sam, I'd have offered to help but I'm afraid I've never gotten to know Dean quite as well.

Well I guess there's that at least. Please let me know if you need a... baby-sitter for either of them. A part-time one at least. [She likes you Cas but there's a limit to what she can accept to do.]

[Her smirk can actually be 'heard' over the line.] You're right I should. They totally do.

It's been ages since we last played chess together. [She misses that.]

It is best to stay out of it anyway. We'll figure out what to do.

[Or not. He gives a small nod at her offer even though she can't see it, though he won't inflict her with Sam and certainly not Gabriel. Maybe Inias, though; he actually thinks Inias and Raven would get along.

There's quiet for a moment, at her last comment, before he responds softly.]

I would like to do so again.

Alright.

[That answer and softer tone bring a small smile to Raven's lips although he can't see it.]

Then I guess we have a 'date'.

[She wouldn't have tried that joke when she first met the angel but by now, he's learnt a lot about humor so she thinks it's safe.]

[Indeed, he gets it now.]
