Once. But you weren't really yourself either at the time. It was during an event about one year ago. [When she thinks about it, Harry had truly seen the best and the worst of her.]

I can't disagree with you on that. It's a pain. [She looks at him, staring at his scar she can see half-hidden beneath his hair for a moment before looking away.] And so he having part of the soul of the person you hate and fear the most inside of you.

Huh, only once? [He smiles a bit.] Doesn't sound like I did too badly.

[It's a bit unconscious, but he runs his hand through his hair by the scar.] So, um, when did I tell you about... about that?

[Raven blinks at that before it dawns on her. And she chuckles softly.] Not too badly indeed. [He never made her hurt. Except when he left her.]

In a dream that we shared. [As weird as it sounds, it's the truth.] And you didn't really tell me. More like I guessed and you confirmed.

[He shakes his head.] Figures I'd make it work and then, you know, forget it all.

[Okay that gets a stare.] How, exactly, did you figure out that I have a part of someone's soul inside of me?

[Raven shrugs and gives him a small smile.] I still remember. And if you ever ask me to share some of those memories with you... I will.

Well I have the abilities to sense powerful auras. There's a part of darkness in you that does fit with the rest of your energy. Besides you had told me how Tom created horcruxes. And how you got that scar. I did the math.

[He nods at her offer but doesn't ask. Not yet, at least.]

Oh. [He pauses.] I hadn't... exactly... put it together. Not, not consciously, at least.

[Offline] So that was supposed to be "doesn't fit" up there but you guessed it, right?

[She's not surprised he doesn't. She sends a private video file on her PCD. That's their date at the lake, the one Usagi had spied on and accidentally broadcast all over the network.] You can take a look at this later, if you want. Preferably after I'm gone.

Being an empath makes it easier, I suppose. ...Also that dream took place in the forbidden forest, right before your fight with Voldemort. It made sense... since you seemed to think you were the only one who could end this.

Preferably, huh? Is it that embarrassing?

Oh. [Well, now. That's one way to show off something like that.] Did I, um, go into your dream, too?

It used to be. A bit. [Now that's just some fond memory.] It's nothing bad, you'll see.

You did, yes. [A small smile curls her lips at the thought.] I got to show you the place where I live. The Titans Tower. You saw my room too and my mirror.

[He gives her a curious look.] Your mirror...?

Yes. A hand mirror that works as a portal to my mind. I have it here too. It's in a chest in my room. You're the only one who knows about it. Except for my teammates back home.

So... what do you use it for? [All he can think of is a pensieve.]

[Offline]

I use it mostly for meditation. It helps me control and suppress my emotions.

[Offline]

And why do you need to do that...?

[Offline]

[feel_nevermore]

Because my emotions fuel my powers and I need to keep a tight control of them so that they won't... control me. [A pause.] They're a weakness to me, a way for my father to get me to become the demon he needs to fulfill his plans.

[There's a longer pause before she turns to face Harry with a small genuine smile.] At least that's what I thought. Until I met you. Now I know there are some emotions who don't need to be suppressed and can help me become a better person. [She knows she'd never have turned into White Raven if it hadn't been for Harry's love and his sorrow when he thought he'd lost her.]

[He smiled a bit, although a touch shyly. Hearing something from that, and being able to read between the proverbial lines, was a bit... strange, but nice.]

Love is a very... powerful force. I'm... glad I helped you see that.

[Raven just smiles back at him, quietly. Deep inside she knows that, somehow, they're having a moment here and she doesn't want to break it. Whatever happens between them from now on, she's glad she got to tell him this.

For the first time since Harry's return, she feels like she's the lucky one. Because she remembers. Because that love is one of the most precious things she ever had. And she doesn't want to ever forget about it.]

[He says nothing for a few moments, just enjoying the quiet with her. She's nice to be around and to talk to, even if she knows a disturbing amount about him (which is just because she's known him before).]

I, um, suppose I ought to get going.

[Offline]

[feel_nevermore]

[She nods.] Alright. I should get back home too anyway.

[She stands up and as an afterthought, she leans in to kiss Harry's cheek.] Take care, Harry.

[And she starts walking away.]

[He watches her walk away for a bit before leaving, himself.]
